STATEMENT OF FAITH

This statement of faith is not meant to cover all specifics about our beliefs or our theological understanding of Scripture. It is intended, however, to be a summary of what we believe to be core beliefs that form our faith and the foundation of how we interpret and teach Scripture. Our heart is not to force you to agree; instead, we would like you to prayerfully consider and test each statement against Scripture.

  1. The Bible is true, applicable, and relevant from its first page to its final word.

  2. There is only one God. In the Torah, He tells us His name is YHVH.

  3. He is one, there is no other, and He does not change or lie.

  4. YHVH created the world and everything in it by His Word and in accordance with His will.

  5. Mankind transgressed/sinned against YHVH, and in His great mercy, justice, and righteousness, He recorded His instructions/Torah to lead His people in the way of righteousness and to draw all nations to Himself.

  6. YHVH’s Torah reveals both the blessings for obedience and the curse for transgressing His instructions.

  7. The Torah or instructions of YHVH are upheld throughout Scripture, including by Abraham, Moses, David, Peter, James, Paul, and even Yeshua.

  8. YHVH declares His Torah is for all time, and we believe His Torah is as beneficial and good for believers today as it was in the days of Moshe/Moses, David, and the prophets.

  9. The Word of God was made flesh and dwelt on this earth in the physical form of Yeshua/Jesus, who lived the Torah/instructions of YHVH as a full and perfect example of righteousness before men.

  10. Yeshua is one with the Father. As such, Yeshua did NOT teach against nor did He disobey the Torah/instructions of YHVH, the Father.

  11. He was righteous in the sight of YHVH. This can only be determined by the standard of righteousness given by God, His Torah/instructions.

  12. Yeshua, being fully righteous, as proven by His perfect obedience to YHVH’s Torah/instructions, was perfectly Holy and was the unblemished Lamb promised in the Scriptures.

  13. As an innocent man, Yeshua was not condemned to die. Instead, He gave up His life willingly as atonement for the sins of the world, ultimately rising again after three days and three nights according to Scripture.

  14. Yeshua’s birth, life, death, and resurrection are a fulfillment of hundreds of Messianic prophecies given by God through His Torah and His prophets. This provides overwhelming evidence, giving those who seek Him confidence that He is indeed the Savior of the world.

  15. Those who truly trust in Yeshua as their redeemer are identifiable by the fruit of repentance: love, conviction, turning from sin, and obedience to YHVH’s good and righteous Torah/instructions. This is possible because of the Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh, which is given as the Helper to those who trust in Yeshua/Jesus.

  16. In His Torah, YHVH outlines the days and times to be observed. Therefore, we reject adding to or taking away from these established times, and we choose not to follow or observe “holy” days based on Man-made traditions.

  17. YHVH gives these appointed times to point to Yeshua’s first coming and to guide us in understanding the seasons of His return.

  18. In accordance with the perfect instructions of YHVH, we believe the proper Sabbath day and its right observance are not only important, but point us to the Lord of the Sabbath, Yeshua, and are a sign of the Covenant of God. As recorded in Torah, the Sabbath day is the 7th day of the week, and it is set apart as a Holy day before YHVH. However, we do encourage believers to gather and fellowship together as often as they are able.

  19. As followers of the Way, it is critical that we, like the Bereans, test everything we are taught, hear, or believe against the Word of God, beginning with the Torah, then the prophets, and finally the Gospels and Apostolic writings.

  20. If we truly believe in the Word of God, if we have truly put our trust in Yeshua our redeemer, and if we understand that we are mercifully saved from the curse spelled out in YHVH’s Word due to our transgression, then we MUST GO as we are commanded and share this great treasure with the world around us. We believe this knowledge is first passed down from parents to their children through careful, purposeful training in the way they should go. Then we naturally and joyfully carry the Good News to all nations, actively pursuing the Great Commission with every breath we have.

These statements reflect our sincere understanding of Scripture, yet we recognize that every believer must be persuaded through personal study and conviction. We encourage you to examine the Word of God diligently, to test all things, and to rely on the Spirit of God to guide you into truth. Our commitment is not to tradition or preference, but to faithful submission to what God has revealed. A .pdf copy of our statement of faith with supporting Scripture is available upon request.
